Directions: Soak your brush with warm or hot water. Turn it upside down and shake it out until the water runs out of it. Start swirling your brush around the top of the soap in a mug or bowl until you have a good amount of soap on it and a rich lather is created. Bring the brush across your face in a circular direction until your face is covered with a thick lather (add more warm water if needed). Take your time and enjoy the experience!

Very frothy good!
I've been shaving for 55 years with a shaving mug and badger brush and have used dozens of soap pucks over time. Nothing has been quite so fulfilling as the Taconic shaving soap puck I recently tried. I bought the bay rum puck on a personal bet--that it was time to dare something different and lucked out with the best shaving foam I have ever used. I have, quite simply, never had a better result.

After six months
I started using this back in August. The scent is very nice, it lathers very well, and shaves close and smooth. The razor has a lot to do with that, too, but I've used my old "canned gel" with my safety razor and this soap works much better. The gel also does not rinse out of the razor nearly as well. I expect to get another month or so from this first can, so 7-plus months makes this not very expensive. I'm very happy with it, and look forward to trying the other "flavors".

This stuff smells amazing, but not overpowering. My lady friend loves it, and so do I. It foams easily, and it's a great choice for people like me who are allergic to lanolin (sheep oil). I used to use liquid bay rum as a fragrance, and I don't think it really smells like that, but it smells great in its own way. It's a masculine smell without that weird 'musk' animal smell other fragrances have.
