Eucalyptus Mint Shaving Cream
I usually shave with Taconic’s Eucalyptus Mint Shaving Soap. Today I tried their Eucalyptus Mint Shaving Cream for the first time, and I really liked it. While the shaving soap might be my first choice, the shaving cream is a pleasant alternative. It’s very smooth and leaves my skin feeling perhaps smoother than the shaving soap does on its own. Of course, with the shaving soap I often use the Taconic pre-shave oil, which seems to produce best results. The soap on its own is excellent, and with the pre-shave oil it’s perfect. The cream is a bit smoother and seems to better moisturize my skin than the soap on its own. Conclusion? Have both at your disposal and alternate. Thanks for making excellent products that offer great performance and value.

Shave Cream
What a gorgeous smell for both me and my man! We love it! Creamy and smooth and makes for a very happy shave! Of course we use their safety razors and blades which are excellent too!

Buy it!
Smells good, feels good, and helps blades glide smoothly. Just one of these last me over a year and it still lathers very well!

Best shave out there...period!
Flat out, the best shave I have ever experienced; best in closeness, best in nonirritating and best in overall feel. Folks, I've tried just about everything. This is the best. No need to look further. I've done all your research. Hands down it's the smoothest shave going. The only thing to make them better is if they would move to Texas and become iconic.

Nice scent great for my dry skin.
This has a nice scent and a very creamy consistency. I've been using this product for years and I love it. It's really great for my dry skin.

Nice stuff and nice for your skin.
Fist of all, don't base your decision to buy on the scent. It's VERY mild, and doesn't stick around for long. The consistency is so creamy, you'll think that you're going to scoop half it out with your brush, but you won't. I dip my brush right into the tub, and never get too much. I was using Proraso, which has a bit of "grit" to it that always prevented me from getting as close as I thought I could, and dulled my razor, which is unforgivable. I like this Taconic much more. I don't care about organic ingredients, I just care about how it treats my skin and the closeness of the shave. This soap delivers in both areas. It lathers up well, and is quite slippery. Cartridge blade shavers might not get the most from it, it's so slick. But it's definitely a quality product, and is better for your face than the cans of foamy aerosol soap that do nothing for your skin. It's great for those, like me, with sensitive, bump-prone necks. As a plus, a tub will last for a really long time. I shave 2 or 3 times a week, and a canister lasts me over a year. If you use a safety razor, you're already saving money, so why not splurge on it? Your face will thank you.

Thick lather with little effort.
This is an amazing shaving cream. I use an 8/8 hollow Spanish Point Razor and I require a thick lather. My method is to soak my silver tip badger brush in scalding hot water and then shake off the excess water leaving the brush wet - more than damp. I then swirl the brush around the tub of cream a few times and transfer over to a bowl made of horn. There I work up a lather and apply it softly to my prepared beard. I was very pleased with the firmness of the cream and the scent was awesome.

Highly Recommend
Very good shaving cream smells and invigorates. Doesn't cream up as much in bowl with brush as my British creams do but not sure if it's meant to. Close clean shave plus let it sit on beard for a minute soaking in for nice menthol feeling. Arrived packaged as promised. If you are a brush shaver would highly recommend.

Maybe too good
I used this on a moderate beard of about 6 days of growth and I was shocked at the results. Not only is this a great smelling product, but the shave was really, really close. I normally use Art of Shave oil prep then their shave cream and I get a good close shave, but with Taconic, it was so close, I had no stubble after 24 hours. 48 hours after my shave, I had some bumps from ingrown hairs. Here it is, 5 days later and it feels like I've got a 3 day beard. I really enjoy this product and the quality!
