My first brush was a proraso boars hair. I liked the stiffness and long hairs. I intende to purchase another to have when the first one wore out. While adding it to my cart, I changed course and decided to try a synthetic brush and a badger brush. The synthetic was too soft, didn't feel right but nice barber pole handle. This brush was a didn't know what I was missing brush. I've owned it for almost 3 months and it's awesome in performance and looks. I tried 1 time using the boars hair again, it didn't make it to my face. This badger brush is a lather creator hands down, and no lost hairs in the sink. I like to put a bead of cream half way down the hairs and soak the brush in hot water, build a lather on my face for a luxurious 3 pass shave with my Muhle r41 grande and feather blade.
