Taconic Shave's Twin Pivot Blade razor that accepts Gillettes's Atra blades or Personna's Pivot Plus blades is the one that you thought wasn't being made anymore! Ours has the quality that will rival any that were ever made. This is a solid metal razor that has that "heavy in the hand feel." Both beautiful and economical, this combination delivers an extremely smooth and close shave. This razor accepts any standard twin blade cartridge that is Atra compatible. (We like the Personna Pivot Plus blades, but you can purchase the ATRA blades somewhere else if you wish).
The cost of refills for this razor is much less than the 4 or 5 blade razor cartridges, yet we believe the shave is smoother due to less pull from the increased razor weight.

Directions to load the blade:
- Hold the dispenser so the chamber latches are at the top.
- While pressing button down, push firmly until the cartridge clicks into a locked position.
- Release button and swing the handle up to remove cartridge.

Taconic Chrome Atra Razor
Good feel and weight. It took few minutes to get the hang of installing the blades, it takes a little wiggle to get them seated correctly, but then all it good to go. I used the Atra style razors years ago and was happy to find them here. I think this provides a superior shave to the new 4-5-6+ bladed razors on the market now. I would recommend this highly

Great razor for us Two blade shavers
Great razor. The handle has a great feel and heft to it. Beautiful design. I only wish it came in a polished chrome style. I refuse to shave with 4 or 5 blades, 3 is my maximum. I use Atra and Sensor style razors. I now have the Taconic in both.
